Strangers in Paradise Statue to be Sculpted by Clayburn Moore May 14, 2006
IMPORTANT NOTE: After consulting with
Terry Moore upon the conclusion of the Strangers In Paradise series, we
have made the
difficult decision to not produce the Francine and David Statues that
were originally intended to go with the Katchoo Statuette. We apologize
for disappointing any collectors who were looking forward to the pieces. Abstract
Studio will be working with The CS Moore Studio and sculptor Clayburn
Moore to bring fans the long awaited statue of the Strangers In
Paradise main characters, Katchoo, Francine and David.
The CS Moore Studio will produce the approximately 9” statue in an
exciting new format offering each individual character separately over
the next year. The characters will be able to stand alone or be
connected through a unique locking system.
Katchoo will be the first statue offered in the series and is slated to be available in January 2007.
“There is nobody else in the industry I trust with my characters.
Clayburn is an incredible talent and I look forward to working with him
to bring Francine, Katchoo and David together at last,” Terry Moore,
creator of Strangers In Paradise stated about the partnership.
“It will be terrific to work with Terry again on his wonderful
characters,” said Clayburn Moore. “He’s always very interested in
working very closely with me to make my sculptures as true to his
artwork as possible.”
Release date, edition size and pricing will be announced soon. A sketch
of the piece is available for viewing at www.csmoorestudio.com.
