COMIC STATUES AND THE CS MOORE STUDIO ANNOUNCE UPCOMING
ULTRA-LIMITED FAUX BRONZE STATUE LINEUP
The CS Moore Studio Ltd. is excited to announce the
development of a faux bronze line of premium statues created especially for the
popular collectibles website Comic Statues. The line will feature several of
Master Sculptor Clayburn Moore's best-selling works, each re-created with
stunning faux bronze finishes.
Moore's statues have long been produced in both fully
painted resin and true bronze. Now, collectors have the opportunity to acquire
some of Moore's most celebrated works in faux bronze, which has the fine art
appeal of true bronze at a very affordable price.
Moore's unforgettable Fathom Statue (Aspen Comics) is the
line's first release. The subtly layered patinas glide over Fathom's sultry
form for an effect that is absolutely gorgeous. The edition will be strictly
limited to 250 numbered pieces, each complete with a numbered Certificate of
Authenticity signed by Moore. The piece will be offered at $299, and a portion
of the proceeds from each Fathom Faux Bronze Statue will go to charity. The
statue is scheduled to ship in July 2009.
"These are some of the most elegant, highly limited
pieces we've ever done and I think they look beautiful. For those who love the bronze look, but can't
quite afford a true lost wax bronze, this is the next best thing. I couldn't be
more pleased to begin this series with the piece that I collaborated on with
Michael Turner," said Moore.
"In all my years in
this industry, this has to be the most excited I have been about a line,"
said Danny Rodriguez, President of Comic Statues. "Being part of its
release makes it that much more enjoyable. I look forward to working with Clay
on this project and many more."
Future releases in the line are scheduled to include the
Kabuki Statue (shipping September 2009), the Aphrodite IX Statue, the She Dragon Statue, and more. Each will be strictly
limited to 250 pieces, and will have an MSRP of $299.
Complete details on each piece will be released on the Comic
Statues and CS Moore Studio websites as they become available.
Kudos to Jim Rowell for a flawless paint job!
